Kerala trip

Had been on vacation to Kerala for a month. God's own country!! The way Keralites are acting, I don't think it will stay that way for long. There seems to be total disregard for the environment and most of the waterways are turning into 'plastic graveyards'. Those who have access to any of the waterways show no compunction in using it as a dustbin. Those who are deprived of this method, prefer to burn the plastic waste in their backyard releasing harmful toxins into the atmosphere. There is no organised method for disposal of waste in the countryside and in spite of the fact that a large amount of plastic waste is generated it is disposed off in the aforesaid manner. The way waste is managed in cities like Cochin has even attracted the attention of the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala. Hope they take note of the waste management in the countryside too and try and goad the 'powers that be' to act.

Welcome!!

Nice to have you here. Hope you enjoyed what you saw.
